WEEKEND

Worked away on bags for this market, photoshoot for a special project I will announce later this week, delicious dinner with close friends, reading under my favorite 100+ year old quilt. Oh and I gave my brother a tattoo.. while drinking mulled cider w/whiskey and sitting by a fireplace. Perfect.

FINDS FROM THIS WEEKEND

Acquired this dude earlier in the weekend. Intended as a gift for a friend.. but I'm starting to get kind of attached...

LAUREN MANOOGIAN

Lauren Manoogian just released her Fall knitwear line -- not only is it stunning, but it's made of baby alpaca so I'm sure these pieces are incredibly soft and warm.

Oh and cool fact - my great grandfather's name was Manoogian as well. Yay Armenians.

LIBRIS LUNARIA

Two of my closest friends have started a new project, Libris Lunaria. They've carefully selected some of their all-time favorite book images and are creating high quality reproductions. There are currently over 20 images available.. with more to come soon.

They've also started a blog and plan to post beautiful images of libraries and nicely displayed old prints.

BEFORE/AFTER

A real nice customer got in touch and asked if I could turn a bag her grandfather used during WWII into something she could use on an every day basis. Above photo is the before.. bottom two photos are what the bag became.

DREAM COLLECTIVE

Discovered Kathryn Bentley's jewelry through one of Jeana Sohn's recent closet visits. I was immediately intrigued by how nice everything looked stacked on her wrist.

These pieces are from Kathryn's line, Dream Collective.

UNIFORM

Untitled

Find myself in something similar to this almost every day come colder weather. My denim and chambray shirt collection is getting a little out of hand.. was tempted by this earlier in the week but successfully resisted.

Looking forward to things to come this week - stocking up on striped liner fabric, seeing Bowerbirds with Liane, more boxing classes with this amazing dude (can't get enough), a friend's wedding, eating the first sweet potatoes of the season.

Oh and my favorite person in the world has a birthday today - Happy Birthday Dad!

WEEKEND

By far my favorite time of year to escape to the woods. Vermont this weekend with friends and family. We just happened to arrive at a friend's farm on the day where was slaughtering the two goats he's been raising.. will spare you photos.. but it was a pretty fascinating experience.

TUESDAY OCTOBER 7

Returned safely from a real nice trip to San Francisco/LA. Now it's time to hole up in my studio and sew together lots of new bags. A few went up in the shop yesterday and a couple more will be going up today.
