WEEKEND

It was a pretty dreary weekend here in New England .. thankfully the hurricane didn't hit Boston as hard as was predicted .. but I spent a lot of time indoors getting work done .. mostly packaging up orders & finishing my new website (which should be ready to launch real soon!). Also distracted myself by a cute puppy and tattooing small circles on my fingers.

Spent the weekend at a buddy's cabin in the woods of VT. Lots of walking through hilltop meadows, eating delicious food & sitting around drinking coffee with pals. Going up there always makes me that much more motivated to finally find some land of my own...

STUDIO

My main sewing machine is in the shop for a repair so I've been focusing on putting together my studio a bit more. Can't believe I've been in this space for a year now. And can't believe it's still not set up properly! How the time flies...

New in the shop today -- WWII era US military canvas carryall with black leather bottom reinforcement & strapping.

Found this real nice old duffel a few months ago that had a pretty little hand-typed list sewed onto the inside top flap. It's a list of everything the soldier carried in his duffel, typed out by his wife. I incorporated it into one of the outside pockets on the above bag.
