A SAD DAY,,

My all time favorite old white tshirt has finally reached it's last legs ... I got this one 2 years ago at the Brimfield Textile Fair from Heller's Cafe/Larry McKaughan (worth a trip to the textile fair just to see that dude's vintage collection .. seriously brings tears to my eyes!) .. and it quickly became my favorite thing to wear. I was well aware that a 70+ yr old tshirt would eventually turn into what you see above .. but now the day has finally come and it's a sad one!

I would still try to wear that on a daily basis!

Oh, I'm sorry! However, that shirt might still have some life in it. Mend the holes, add patches (old denim/leather might look cool), or just throw it on over a striped tank top and you'll be all set!

i totally still wear my favorite jeans from 8th grade. they've been repatched and sewn up by me at least a million times, they have sharpie lines and wine stains that detergent will never remove. i say, keep wearing that rad shirt, just wear another shirt or tank underneath! clothes like that have character, they're irreplaceable and perfect. :)

oh no! what a shame because you've obviously put a lot of love into that shirt. i've had to say goodbye to a few favorite shirts and it's a rough business. ALSO, i can't belive it's taken me this long because i've been lurking your sites for a while now but i've added you to my link list thingy <3

I'm a terrible person at letting go of my favourite clothes. I'd rather wear them into the ground than just quickly replace them with something that I have to start on all over again. I have a favourite pair of Levi's that have so many patches in the crutch....but I can't pass them up.

This is so sad,I have a pair of jeans in the same miserable state but can't let go! I hope you can find a new favourite.
