Our trip started off at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs where we did pretty much nothing .. laid by a pool and drank frozen mai tais, went swimming, I read a cool suspense novel that I bought at Walgreens.. pretty much just forced ourselves to relax. Followed the next day by a trip to Joshua Tree National Park. Neither of us had been to the desert before (and this was Aaron's first West Coast trip) so we were pretty mindblown by the park.Then we spent the next few days in LA/Santa Monica with good friends who moved out there a few months ago. Mostly just wandered around the city, ate delicious tacos, saw a really great exhibit at the LACMA, and basked in the most perfect weather we could have asked for.
