Good friends Margaux and Walter of Peg & Awl are currently at the American Craft Council in Baltimore and here are a few photos of their incredible booth. They never fail to amaze me with their set ups.

Went digging this weekend and came away with a pretty good haul .. variety of striped ticking/shirting from the early 1900's, bunch of old work aprons & grain bags, pile of WWII era US duffels. Found the duffels in a crawl space stuffed in an old trunk .. dream scenario for me.
Forestbound will be part of a pop up showroom/sample sale at the Ace Hotel New York next week .. the sale is on Wednesday the 23rd from 6 - 9 pm .. I'll have a handful of new bags available. Unfortunately I'm leaving for the west coast that day so I won't be able to be there .. but a friendly Forestbound representative will take my place!
New in the shop today -- WWII era military canvas carryall w/ two outer pockets & military issue cotton webbing shoulder straps. Available HERE.
The Huntington News .. the student newspaper of my alma mater .. features a real nice article about Forestbound today.

Some of my favorite old photos from my personal collection .. the one on top is the most recent addition and my new favorite. Love the jacket worn by the dude in the top row all the way to the left .. and the one in stripes second from the right on top. So good. Second photo from the top was given to me by Anja when I was visiting Portland a few months ago and I promptly hung it over my work desk the second I got home. Something about those well dressed, mischievous looking guys crowded around a donkey really gets me.

This real nice pair of WWII era Type III Service Shoes are currently up for grabs but unfortunately for me they're just a bit too big for my feet.

Brad from Commerce with a Conscience was in the area a few weeks ago and stopped by for a few hours. He snapped some photos of my studio space and wrote a very nice post about Forestbound. You can read it here. Thanks again, Brad!

The 2nd annual Inspiration LA took place this past weekend and unfortunately it was on the other side of the country. No doubt there was an endless supply of beautiful clothing to dig through.

Came upon this Australian blog, Whole Larder Love, through a recent post by James. Can't resist a blog that's mostly about rabbit hunting, growing & cooking your own food, and spending time outdoors with family.

A 14 hour work day doesn't seem so bad when it ends with bourbon and browsing one of my favorite websites, the barn pages.
