PERMANENT COLLECTION

Every now and again I'll find a bag that I just can't part with. Here are three that just got added to my permanent collection. (Best part about the bottom US Navy Sea Bag is the faint drawing of a woman).

SPRING FLOWERS

Seeing crocuses and snowdrops coming everywhere the past few days up has made my anticipation for spring that much more heightened .. so waking up to a blanket of snow was somewhat disheartening. At least it will (hopefully) melt by this afternoon and in the meantime I'll gaze at these old photos of flowers ..

FIND FROM THIS WEEKEND ..

Came upon this jacket while out with Francesca digging around at a crummy little indoor flea market in central MA. Both of us pretty much stopped in our tracks when we saw it ! I wish we had been able to unearth more details about its past .. but all we gathered is that the jacket is made by Harding Uniform & Regalia Co. and is most likely from the early 1930's .. the detailing seems to be hand done by someone intending for it to look Native American.

So not only is this jacket the perfect color with beautiful details .. it's small enough to fit! And that never happens with jackets like this. Plus my best friend was right there, equally as excited to find it .. made for such a nice Saturday afternoon!

CANVAS BUCKET BAG

Introducing a new style to the shop this afternoon .. canvas bucket bag with a leather shoulder strap & buckle closure. This along with a few others were listed today.

DEAD HORSE BAY

Took a short trip to Brooklyn with my best girl at the end of last week & after many months of anticipation we finally spent an afternoon enjoying the sunshine & digging around for old things at Dead Horse Bay with good friends. Reluctantly had to tear ourselves away for nourishment and a quick stop at Coney Island was the best idea..

NORTH CAICOS

Just returned from a long weekend spent in North Caicos. Can't say enough good things about that small island .. especially the incredibly beautiful beaches with hardly anyone else on them (I could lay on the beach for an entire day and only 2 or 3 other people would walk by!). Spent the days swimming, reading, exploring, drinking lots of coffee, and having some quality time with my dad. Highlight of the trip may have been the secret underground rock staircase that opened onto a beautiful secluded sea cave. Rough coming back to cold, rainy weather! I'm ready for spring even more so now.
