SOUR CHERRIES

So excited when a farmer friend brought the first batch of sour cherries to market today. The ones growing close to my house aren't quite ready yet. Think I'll make this pie and these pork chops.

A bunch of feedsack / old duffel bag canvas utility pouches have been put in the Forestbound shop this morning.

WEEKEND

A nice weekend spent with family and my little pup and my favorite dude. Brought home a small bouquet of flowers picked from my dad's various gardens. And thankful I caught that rose bush in all its glory.

NEW ASSITANT

Meet my new assistant, Maisy. She's a 4 month old boxer/beagle/something mix that I adopted only a few days ago. She's the sweetest pup ever and I'm so happy to have her here with me.

RENEGADE BROOKLYN RECAP

A few photos of mine and Aaron's set up this past weekend ... I threw a bunch of wood planks and wooden crates in my car and with the help of Amy, a drill and some clamps we put together this display real quick on Saturday morning.

It was a great weekend despite the relatively dreary weather on Saturday .. thank you so much to all who came out and bought a bag or said hello! Always so nice connecting with past customers and new customers .. and other vendors too!

I came home with a few bags so they will be going up in the shop tomorrow morning at 9am. I'll have a proper shop update preview post later on this afternoon...

RENEGADE BROOKLYN

I'll be in Brooklyn this weekend selling at Renegade .. Saturday & Sunday 11-7 in McCarren Park. I'm sharing a booth with Digby & Iona and will have many new bags (like the ones pictured above). Stop by and say hello if you're in the area!

THESE DAYS...

Been spending most days holed up in my studio sewing away .. hoping to take a bit of a break soon and venture off to the woods or the beach for a couple of days in the sun.

But other than bag making .. I ran another half marathon with my brother and soon after started marathon training,, been thorougly enjoying early summer produce -- first of the season (greenhouse) tomatoes appeared at market yesterday! ,, went to a great military show with my buddy Aaron (photos above .. including the prettiest duffel bag I've ever laid eyes on),, and starting to clean up / rearrange my house for a new little addition coming early next week...

THAT TIME OF YEAR

So happy it's finally farmers market season again! Nothing better than an abundance of fresh produce in my life. Plus the farm I work for grows the most delicious strawberries you will ever taste.. which I have been patiently been waiting for since they ended last June.
