FLORIDA

Some photos of our 10 day trip to Florida .. courtesy of Instagram.

We stayed on St. George Island which is about an hour south of Tallahassee on the panhandle. People refer to that part of Florida as the forgotten coast because not too many out of staters visit that area even though it's insanely beautiful with perfect beaches and the most delicious oysters you have ever eaten (for mere pennies). It was too hot to do much other than sit on the beach, lounge by the pool, drink beers, and grill fish. But we did venture into Apalachicola once or twice, which is a great little town.

We drove home through Georgia/North Carolina/Virginia since there was a tropical storm hovering over our original route up the coast .. but I'm so glad we took the alternate way. Driving through the mountains of Western North Carolina was my favorite part - Can't wait to get back there and explore.
