
now that it's getting cold outside having the stove going for hours isn't unbearable. this means i am wanting to dye yarn all day every day.
the above yarn was dyed with a good amount of both yellow and red onion skins with an alum mordant. my favorite result so far.

this is for sure my new favorite blog. the fashion ones are too one-note for me lately..
i'm really excited about learning to dye natural fibers this fall/winter, i've been doing lots of research and i'm wondering if red onion skins truly yield a mint green color..have you ever tried it, i mean?
