And so begins my 4th season working for a really incredible organic farm. Can't even begin to express how nice it is to have fresh vegetables back in my life. Being involved with farming for the past 7 or 8 years has spoiled me to no end - during the winter I hardly eat anything vegetable-related other than storage crops and the occasional green from the winter farmers market in Providence. But from now until Thanksgiving it's nothing but the most delicious fresh vegetables for every meal.
Also - those strawberries are the best fruit you will ever taste. No joke. And I swear I'm not just saying that because I have to.

yum! fresh produce markets are the best, and so aesthetically pleasing too. i'd love to work at one!
Yay for working on organic farms! I have been working at one off-and-on for the past 5 years and love it so much. Sometimes it's hard to get up early on my day off and go out to the farm, but I am always always glad to be there and so happy at the end of the day.
It's terrible but I really barely eat any veggies. I just don't know how to prepare them in a tasty way.
Those strawberries look amaaazing. I could eat fruit endlessly. Maybe I'll pick some up next time I'm in Boston.
The pics are beautiful, my son would LOVE those strawberries.
I swear my mouth watered reading that last line about the strawberries! I miss you girl! I am hopefully gonna be seeing Francesca this tomorrow for coffee...<3

Oh boy, I know what you mean. There's really nothing that can beat farm-fresh produce. Living in Berkeley tho, I am spoiled. There's a plethora of farmer's markets year round!
